Testing for Admission
All students ages 6 and older, must have a formalized assessment completed. If students are already enrolled prior to this age, they will be asked to complete the testing.
The testing must be administered by a licensed psychologist, school psychologist, or a psychometrist that has training in this tool. The school utilizes the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V). This assessment is an intelligence test that measures a child’s intellectual ability and 5 cognitive domains that impact performance. The 5 domains include Verbal Comprehension, Visual Spatial, Working Memory, Fluid Reasoning, and Processing Speed Index (PSI).
Upon completion of the assessment, the psychologist must submit a copy of the full report directly to the Nasri Academy for Gifted Children’s Admission Office.
Note: All students must qualify for Nasri Academy for Gifted Children by going to a licensed psychologist and taking the WISC-V as detailed above.
