The admissions process is detailed to help make sure the family and student are a philosophical match to the school.  The process starts with a phone call, a school tour, shadow visit for the student, formalized assessment (6 years and older) and finalizes with a decision.

Steps to Apply

  2. Schedule a tour
    The school offers tours at various times throughout the week.  Contact the main office ext. 101 to find out tour availability.
  3. Plan a Student Shadow Day
    If you are interested in pursuing admission, schedule a day that your child can shadow at the school.
    Students visit in a classroom that is their current age and spend a full day immersed in the program.  Early Childhood students spend a half day in the morning.
  4. Formal Assessment for children 6 years and older
    The next step will be to have an Intelligence assessment assessment completed (6 years and above).
    This assessment can be completed by a psychologist familiar with gifted students to administer an individual Wechsler Intelligence test (WPPSI- IV or WISC-V only).
    The tester/family must submit a full report to the school for review.
    The cost of this assessment is paid by the applying family.
  5. Decision made about acceptance
    No decisions will be made until all components have been completed/received.
    All Acceptance decisions  upon review are the sole discretion of the Nasri Academy for Gifted Children’s Admission Committee
    Upon acceptance, complete and submit a signed contract with a non-refundable deposit of $500.
